The central government subsidy scheme for residential rooftop solar. Here is what it actually involves, and which parts we handle for you.
Residential electricity consumers with a valid connection and a shadow-free roof they own or are authorised to use. Commercial and industrial connections are not covered by this scheme.
The system must use DCR solar modules, be installed by a registered vendor, and be net-metered by your DISCOM before the subsidy claim can be filed.
The subsidy is credited directly to your bank account after installation, net metering and verification. It is not deducted from your invoice upfront.
Most delays in rooftop solar happen between these steps, not during the installation. This is the part we take off your hands.
Your consumer details are registered on the PM Surya Ghar portal, followed by registration with MPWZ. The order matters: the DISCOM registration always follows the portal registration.
The model agreement is executed and the system is installed. Every panel serial number, the inverter number and the meter details are recorded, because the portal will ask for them.
The work completion file goes to the DISCOM, the bi-directional meter is installed, and the junior engineer signs off. This is the longest stage and the one we chase hardest.
After commissioning and inspection, the subsidy claim is filed and tracked until the amount is credited to your account. We check the status regularly rather than waiting for you to ask.
The applicable amount depends on your sanctioned system size and the slab in force at the time of your claim. We confirm the exact figure for your case in writing with your quotation. A number on a website that later turns out to be wrong helps nobody.
